“The existential, the beauty in the absurd and the human condition are a central part of my work. I approach these issues from an aesthetic inspired by underground culture. Mixed with analog photography in styles such as documentary, portraiture, and fine art, it results in a poetic narrative that is both alternative and contemporary.”

Leo is a self-taught photographer. His career began in 2013 with a two-person show called 6.

In 2014 he held his first solo exhibition “Constelación” at Sótano 1 Gallery, placed in Guatemala City.

In 2015, he moved to Los Angeles to continue his career as a photographer, where he currently lives and works.

His photobook Now Pay was published in 2018 and was selected to be part of FotoWien, MOPLA, Athens Photo Festival, among others.

His work reflects strong influences ranging from art, music, and social issues. He has had the opportunity to works on editorial commissions for musicians such as Damien Jurado, Nite Jewel, Jesse Baez, Gary Wilson, and Nicholas Kgrovich.

Fotógrafo autodidacta. Inicia su carrera fotográfica en el 2013 con una muestra llamada 6.

En el 2014 fue invitado a presentar su primera muestra individual Constelación en el espacio Sótano 1, Ciudad de Guatemala.

En el 2015 se traslada a la ciudad Los Ángeles para continuar su carrera, lugar en el que actualmente vive y trabaja.

Su fotolibro Now Pay es publicado en el 2018 y seleccionado para formar parte en FotoWien, MOPLA, Athens Photo Festival entre otros.

Su obra refleja claras influencias que parten desde el arte, la música y la justicia social.
