My latest works are focused on an analogy between the natural and the artifice of the person who creates.

Hologram is a series made during the first three months of my daughter’s life, where I address the personal transformation that motherhood implies and the feeling of being a projected image of myself. It is made up of 12 photographs and 12 sentences that describe common characteristics of these two states.

Essays on the geometry of the confinement, was developed during the successive confinements by the pandemic that began in 2020. Starting from the repetition and modification of the same image, I explore the aspects within a personal space.

Mis últimos trabajos giran en torno a una analogía entre lo natural y el artificio de la persona que crea.

Holograma es una serie realizada durante los primeros tres meses de vida de mi hija, donde abordó la transformación personal que implicó la maternidad y la sensación de ser una imagen proyectada de mi misma. Está compuesta por 12 fotografías y 12 frases que describen características comunes a estos dos estados.

Ensayos sobre la geometría del encierro, es un trabajo desarrollado durante los sucesivos confinamientos a causa de la pandemia iniciada en 2020. Partiendo de la repetición y modificación de una misma imagen, investigo las relaciones intersubjetivas dentro de un espacio personal.

Juliana Turull was born in Mexico in 1980 and lived in Argentina between 1984 and 2017, when she moved to Dakar, Senegal. In 2019 she arrived in Paris, France, where she currently lives. She has a degree in Literature from the University of Buenos Aires and also studied Fine Arts at the National University of the Arts. She has a certificate of Creative Photography from the Professional Photographer Andy Goldstein School, where she also worked as a teacher between 2012 and 2015.

She pursued studies with artists Diana Aisenberg, Eduardo Basualdo, Hernán Soriano, Manuel Ameztoy and Sergio Bazán.

Currently she develops joint projects with visual artists, writers and musicians. In addition to developing her personal projects, she teaches collage workshops and works on the digitization of archival documents.

Nació en México en 1980, vivió en Argentina entre los años 1984 y 2017, cuando se mudó a Dakar, Senegal. En 2019 llegó a París, Francia, donde actualmente vive.

Estudió Letras en la Universidad de Buenos Aires y luego Bellas Artes en la Universidad Nacional de las Artes. Terminó la carrera de Fotografía Profesional en la Escuela de Fotografía Creativa Andy Goldstein, donde impartió clases entre  2012 y 2015.

Se formó con los artistas Diana Aisenberg, Eduardo Basualdo, Hernán Soriano, Manuel Ameztoy y Sergio Bazán.

Actualmente desarrolla proyectos conjuntos con artistas plásticos, escritores y músicos. Además de desarrollar sus proyectos personales, dicta talleres de collage y trabaja en la reproducción digital de documentos de archivo.
